The Hajia Abibata Shanni Mahama Zakariah-manned Microfinance and Small Loans Centre (MASLOC) is under lock-and-key.

The government agency under the presidency, which provides micro and small loans for start-ups and small businesses with fast, easy and accessible microcredit and small loans to grow and expand their businesses has been cordoned off by soldiers to prevent irate National Democratic Congress(NDC) element who are attacking state properties from storming the premises.

Consequently, all the workers have been asked to stay home until the situation is brought under control.

The Inquirer gathered that the unruly elements stormed the premises of Masloc at day after the inauguration of President John Dramani Mahama, threatening to throw out the workers and lock up the premises. It took the intervention of the security to calm those who stormed the premises.

The next day, the different elements stormed the same office with the same mission to throw out the worker. It took the timely arrival of the soldiers since the place is closer to the Burma Camp for the group to leave the place.

It was these disruptions that caused Mascloc management to ask its workers to stay home until further notice.

Meanwhile, as at the time of going to press yesterday, The Inquirer was informed that the workers have been directed to report to work today in other that the media would not get wind of it.
